I am Nancy's baby sister. While I do love bagpipes and medieval things, that's about as far as my interests lie in our Irish heritage, although I do find it all quite interesting. I am very drawn to the Native American side of me. I have felt it in my blood all my life and I am watching closely to see what Nancy learns. I have tried to ttrace back our heritage but I obviously suck at it...lol. My interest in learning more, came when I got pregnant with my little one and everywhere I went, there was a hawk near me. I decided that my baby should be named after a hawk. I chose Gavyn (for a boy) but could not find any names that meant hawk that were girl's names. I finally found a name on some site that meant Sparrow Hawk; it was a Native American name and it was for a boy but I decided that it could be unisex and I chose it for a girl...well, I had that little girl and then I found out that I was not a descendent of a renegade tribe called Black Hawk (as I was told growing up) but that really I was a descendent of Chief Black Hawk. When I looked him up and found that the correct translation of his name was Black Sparrow Hawk, I knew in my heart that there is something more here and I want to know what it is...this type of thing isn't just a coincidence.
